Delhi–Amritsar–Katra Expressway nears completion, opening a faster western route to Panipat

Panipat’s road connectivity has long leaned on NH-44 (the old GT Road corridor). The under-construction Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway now adds a second high-speed spine to the west, and its Haryana stretch is reported to be largely complete.

The Panipat link

The greenfield, access-controlled expressway runs through Haryana on its way north, with interchanges that improve how districts like Jind, Karnal and Panipat plug into the national highway grid. A planned interchange linking the Jind-Panipat axis is the piece most relevant locally, because it shortens travel between west Haryana and the Panipat urban area.

What it means for plotted growth

Expressway interchanges tend to pull development outward along the connecting state highways. For Panipat, better western connectivity supports plotted and industrial demand on that side of the city, and it gives buyers a genuine second route option into the NCR rather than depending solely on NH-44.

Plots that sit on or near the approach roads to a new interchange typically benefit first, as logistics, services and end-users follow the improved access. Buyers should confirm the exact interchange location and approach-road alignment before reading a premium into any specific pocket.
